The short version
You don't need an account. What you do in In My Rotation stays in your browser or on your phone, except for the few things listed below.
There are no advertising trackers, and nothing about you is sold.
The app counts how it is used, without knowing who you are. You can turn that off on the You page.
This website
This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics. If you write to us, we keep your email so we can answer it.
What stays on your device
What you swiped, what the app has learned from that, your bags and what is in them, and the sizes you picked.
If you choose to save checkout details (email, name, address, phone), they are kept on your device too. Payment details are never asked for.
You can forget your swipes or erase your checkout details on the You page. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes everything.
If you sign in
Signing in is optional. If you do, we keep your email address, so you can sign in again, and a copy of your bags: their names, the products in them, the sizes and colours you picked, and each price when you saved it. That copy is what lets your bags follow you to another phone or computer.
Your swipes, what the app has learned from them and any checkout details are not part of it; they stay on your device. The usage counts below are not linked to your account.
If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your email address and name, and learns that you signed in here. We do not see your Google password.
You can delete your account on the You page. That removes your sign-in and the copy of your bags; the bags on your device stay.
What reaches us
The words you search for, so the search can be answered. They arrive without your name or any identifier added by us, and no profile of you is built from them.
Counts of what is done in the app: that it was opened, cards liked or passed, searches, products looked at, and links followed to a store, with the store and product involved. Each count carries a random number made up on your device, so visits can be told apart. It is not your name, email or address and is not linked to them. We use the totals to see what is working, and they are deleted after about thirteen months.
Turn the counting off under Usage counts on the You page and nothing more is sent. If your browser asks sites not to track you (Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track), nothing is counted at all.
Like any website, the company that hosts this one (Cloudflare) handles your IP address and browser details in order to deliver it. We do not keep your IP address with the counts.
What reaches the stores
Product photos load from each store's own servers, so those stores see a request from your browser, as they would for any picture on the web.
When you open your bags, the app asks the stores what your saved things cost now and which sizes are in stock.
When you tap through to a store, you are on its site, under its privacy policy. If you saved checkout details, they are put in the link that opens that store's checkout, so its form arrives filled in. That happens only for the store you chose to check out at.
Links that may earn a commission
Some links to stores may earn In My Rotation a commission if you buy after following them. A link like that can pass through an affiliate network on its way to the store, and the network and the store may record that the visit came from us. A commission never changes the price you pay.
